Ingredients

The carrots

  • 2 lbs raw carrots

The seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • to taste dried or fresh chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the carrots into ½” thick rounds.
  2. Transfer the sliced carrots into the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the melted butter over the carrots and sprinkle the brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika on top.
  4. Stir the mixture until the carrots are evenly coated.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 1 ½ to 2 hours or on low for 2 ½ to 3 hours until the carrots are softened.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
