Instructions
- Whisk together the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Cream together the butter and sugar in an electric mixer, then mix in the egg, sour cream, maple extract, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until combined.
- Divide the dough into two portions, shape into disks, and chill for 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F during the last 10 minutes of chilling.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to slightly over ¼-inch thickness and cut into rounds.
- Transfer the rounds to a lined baking sheet and bake for 9-10 minutes until nearly set.
- Cool the cookies before frosting them with the maple cinnamon frosting.
