Ingredients

The filling

  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey

The chocolate

  • 6 ounces chocolate (1 cup regular-sized chocolate chips)
  • to taste flaky sea salt (optional)

Other

  • as needed mini muffin liners

Instructions

  1. Combine peanut butter and maple syrup in a small bowl until blended.
  2. Prepare a mini cupcake pan with liners.
  3. Melt the chocolate using a microwave or double boiler.
  4. Fill each cup with 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate, add a dollop of peanut butter mixture, then top with another teaspoon of chocolate.
  5. Freeze for 5 minutes, sprinkle with sea salt if desired, then freeze until firm for about 25 more minutes.
  6. Store in a container or sealed bag at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
