Classic Deviled Eggs with Bacon

Ingredients

The eggs

  • 12 pieces eggs

The filling

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill
  • teaspoon salt
  • 2 strips bacon, cooked and chopped

The garnish

  • ¼ cup chopped green onions or chives
  • to taste smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Fill a large saucepan with the eggs and cover them with water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil and let the eggs boil for 14 minutes.
  3. Prepare an ice bath and transfer the boiled eggs to it for 10 minutes to cool, then peel them.
  4. Slice the peeled eggs in half and place the yolks in a bowl.
  5. Mix the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, dill, and salt until smooth, then fold in half the bacon.
  6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into the egg white halves.
  7. Arrange on a serving tray and top with remaining bacon, chives, and smoked paprika.
  8. Serve.
