Instant Pot German Red Cabbage

Instructions
- Prepare all vegetables before starting to cook.
- Turn on the Sauté setting in the Instant Pot and add the butter and onion, cooking until the onion starts to soften.
- Add the cabbage and stir, cooking for a few minutes while breaking up any clumps.
- Stir in the salt, pepper, and allspice.
- Add the balsamic vinegar and sugar, then stir.
- Incorporate the diced apples and water if using, and stir them in.
- Cancel the Sauté setting and select Pressure Cook/Manual for 4 minutes (2 minutes for firmer cabbage) on high pressure.
- Once cooking is done, perform a Quick Release of the pressure.
- Open the lid when the pin drops, and stir the cabbage.
- Serve hot with your choice of main dishes.
