Ingredients

The dip

  • 6 ounces plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Optional toppings

  • as desired chopped green onions
  • as desired grated fresh garlic
  • as desired dry herbs or spices (turmeric, cumin, paprika, smoked paprika)
  • as desired chopped capers
  • as desired fresh herbs (dill, rosemary, mint, oregano, parsley)
  • as desired fresh lemon zest
  • as desired crumbled feta or goat cheese
  • as desired red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. If desired, drain the yogurt in cheese cloth for 1-2 hours.
  2. Place the yogurt in a serving dish.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice and kosher salt.
  4. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and add freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Add any additional toppings as desired.
