White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper.
- 2. Melt 8 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat until browned, stirring constantly.
- 3. In a large bowl, combine the brown butter, remaining cold butter, and brown sugar, whisking until combined.
- 4. Add the egg, vanilla, and salt, whisking until smooth and glossy.
- 5. Whisk in the baking powder and baking soda, then fold in the flour until just combined.
- 6. Add the macadamia nuts and white chocolate, mixing until evenly distributed.
- 7. Portion the dough into 22 balls and place them on the prepared sheet pan, flattening them slightly.
- 8. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
- 9. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until set, then let cool on the baking sheet.
