Apple Oatmeal Bars

The wet ingredients

unsweetened applesauce

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the oats, oat flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking soda.
- Add the applesauce, maple syrup, coconut oil, and diced apple to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
- Set aside a heaping half cup of the oat mixture, then press the remaining mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
- Spread the apple butter evenly over the mixture and sprinkle the reserved oat mixture on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into 12-16 bars and store in the refrigerator.
