Instructions
- 1. Spread dry lentils on a baking sheet and discard any stones or deformed lentils.
- 2. Rinse the lentils under cold water in a colander to remove dust and debris.
- 3. Combine lentils and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer until tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- 4. Drain the lentils well.
