Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9-inch springform or cake pan.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl and set aside.
- In a stand mixer, blend butter and sugar until combined, then add the egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Mix in the flour mixture until combined.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 14-16 minutes.
- Allow the cookie to cool completely on a wire rack for about 1 hour.
- Prepare the frosting by blending powdered sugar, butter, milk, and vanilla until smooth, adding food coloring if desired.
- Remove the cookie from the pan and cut it into 8 wedges.
- Decorate the cookies with frosting, sprinkles, and pretzel pieces for decoration.
