Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 12-inch cast iron skillet.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat, then stir in the sugar until combined.
- Return to heat and stir until the mixture is smooth and shiny.
- Remove from heat and mix in the cocoa, baking powder, salt, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk in the eggs until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the flour and chocolate chips, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared skillet and drizzle salted caramel sauce on top, swirling it gently.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely before cutting and serve with ice cream and additional caramel sauce if desired.
