Instructions
- Heat a skillet on medium heat and add olive oil, onion, and garlic; sauté for 3-4 minutes.
- Add ground beef and cook for 5 minutes, breaking it up until it begins to brown.
- Stir in Italian seasoning, cumin, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; cook for 2 more minutes.
- Pour marinara sauce and water into the skillet, then add broken lasagna noodles, ensuring they are covered.
- Cover the pan, reduce heat to low-medium, and cook for 23-25 minutes until noodles are al dente.
- Mix together the parmesan and mozzarella cheese in a bowl.
- Remove the cover, mix in half of the cheese mixture, and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Turn on the broiler and broil for about 2 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped basil if desired and serve.
