Instructions
- 1. Heat a skillet on medium heat and add olive oil, onion, and garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes.
- 2. Add ground beef and cook for 5 minutes, breaking it up until it begins to brown.
- 3. Stir in Italian seasoning, cumin, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, cooking for 2 more minutes.
- 4. Pour in the marinara sauce and water, mixing well.
- 5. Add broken lasagna noodles on top and stir to ensure they are covered with liquid.
- 6. Cover the pan and reduce heat to low-medium, cooking for 23-25 minutes until noodles are al dente.
- 7. In a bowl, mix together cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese.
- 8. Turn off the heat, remove the cover, and mix in the cheese mixture. Sprinkle additional cheeses on top.
- 9. Broil for about 2 minutes until the cheese melts and turns golden brown.
- 10. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
