Instructions

  2. Add ground beef and combine gently without overworking the meat.
  3. Shape into ½-inch thick patties and make a thumbprint in the center of each.
  4. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat and cook patties for 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  5. Flip the patties, add cheese if desired, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until done.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
