Shrimp Lo Mein

Ingredients

The noodles and vegetables

  • 7 oz dry Lo Mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 8 oz shrimp
  • 6 oz bok choy, sliced
  • 8 oz red bell pepper, sliced
  • to taste white sesame seeds

The sauce

  • 1 ½ tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, rinse with cold water, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients and set aside.
  3. Heat a skillet over high heat and add cooking oil.
  4. Sauté the garlic, then add the shrimp and stir-fry until they turn white.
  5. Add the bok choy and red bell pepper, stirring to combine.
  6. Pour the sauce into the skillet and mix with the other ingredients.
  7. Add the lo mein noodles to the skillet, stirring to coat well with the sauce.
  8. Top with white sesame seeds and serve hot.
