  • cups white whole wheat flour
  • ¾ cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
  3. Whisk in the egg, yogurt, and oil.
  4. Add the brown sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla, and mix well.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda, cinnamon, and salt over the mixture and stir until combined.
  6. Gently stir in the flour until just combined, then fold in any mix-ins.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Let cool for 15 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
