Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare a loaf pan with non-stick spray.
- Mash the bananas and mix with applesauce and eggs using an electric mixer.
- Add honey, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes.
- Cover with foil halfway through if the top browns too quickly.
- Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan before slicing and serving.
