Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400° F.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Sift together the baking powder, flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture and beat until just combined.
- If using food coloring, add and beat until incorporated.
- Fill your cookie press with about ¼ of the dough and press the cookies onto an ungreased baking sheet.
- Add sprinkles if desired.
- Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until the cookies are set but not browned.
- Allow the cookies to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
