Instructions
- Bring the blackberries to a low boil in a medium-sized pot, stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat and simmer until the berries soften, about 5 minutes.
- Lightly mash the blackberries, leaving some chunks for texture.
- Stir in the maple syrup and chia seeds.
- Cook on low until the jam thickens, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let the jam cool to room temperature and then store in a glass jar.
