  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Bring the blackberries to a low boil in a medium-sized pot, stirring frequently.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer until the berries soften, about 5 minutes.
  3. Lightly mash the blackberries, leaving some chunks for texture.
  4. Stir in the maple syrup and chia seeds.
  5. Cook on low until the jam thickens, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  7. Let the jam cool to room temperature and then store in a glass jar.
