Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan.
- Add the brown sugar, corn syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and salt, stirring over medium heat until it boils and reaches 235°F on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and food coloring, then allow to cool to 200°F.
- Insert ice-pop sticks into the tops of the apples and dip them into the caramel mixture, rotating to coat.
- Place the coated apples on a silicone baking liner or waxed paper until the caramel sets.
