Grilled Caprese Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Sara Lee® Artesano™ Bread
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 2 small tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil leaves
  • ½ of an avocado, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Place 2 slices of bread in the pan and top with mozzarella and tomatoes.
  3. Add the other 2 slices of bread on top.
  4. Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side until the cheese melts, adjusting heat as needed.
  5. Remove the top slices of bread, layer basil and avocado on top of the tomatoes, then replace the bread slices.
  6. Serve immediately.
