Ingredients

The sandwich

  • 12 strips applewood smoked bacon
  • 2 pieces beef steak (or heirloom) tomatoes, sliced thick
  • 8 leafs butter lettuce
  • 2 pieces avocados, sliced
  • 8 slices multigrain bread

The Harissa Mayo

  • ½ cup mayo
  • 2 tablespoons harissa
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the bacon strips in the skillet until crispy, about 3-5 minutes per side.
  3. Let the bacon rest on a paper towel to drain excess grease.
  4. In a small bowl, mix mayo, harissa, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and lime juice until combined.
  5. Toast the bread slices in a toaster.
  6. Assemble the sandwich by spreading harissa mayo on one slice of bread, adding lettuce, tomato, bacon, and avocado, then topping with another slice of bread.
