Ingredients

The vegetables

  • 12 oz raw green beans, ends trimmed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

The seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste sea salt
  • to taste cracked black pepper

The garnish

  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the green beans and olive oil, stirring to coat the beans evenly.
  3. 3. Season the green beans with salt and pepper.
  4. 4. Spread the green beans in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast for 15 minutes.
  5. 5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle minced garlic and sliced almonds over the green beans.
  6. 6. Stir to mix and spread the beans back into a single layer.
  7. 7. Return to the oven and roast for an additional 5 minutes until the beans are cooked through and the garlic and almonds are lightly golden.
