Instructions
- Prepare the filling by mixing cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chives, and spices in a bowl.
- Cut the tops off the jalapenos and hollow them out.
- Fill the jalapenos with the cheese mixture using a piping bag.
- Freeze the filled jalapenos while preparing the batter.
- Coat the stuffed jalapenos in flour and set aside.
- Make the batter by whisking together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic and onion powders, then add sparkling water until the right consistency is reached.
- Heat oil in a pot or pan.
- Dip jalapenos in the batter and fry them until golden brown, rotating them halfway through.
- Garnish with sea salt and serve immediately.
