Ingredients

The steak

  • 4 8-oz Filet mignon steaks
  • 2 tsp Sea salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper

The compound butter

  • ½ recipe Compound Butter

Instructions

  1. Remove the filet mignon from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
  2. Make the compound butter and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  4. Trim any connective tissue from the steaks and pat dry. Season with sea salt and black pepper on both sides.
  5. Arrange the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry until they reach your desired doneness, checking with a meat thermometer.
  6. Remove the steaks and top each with a tablespoon of compound butter.
  7. Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
