Paleo Plantain Fries

Ingredients

  • 2 whole green plantains
  • 2 tbsp coconut or avocado oil
  • to taste sea salt

Instructions

  1. Score the plantain peels lengthwise and remove them.
  2. Cut the plantains in half, then cut each half into quarters to create strips.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the oil.
  4. Place the plantain strips in the skillet and season with salt.
  5. Flip the strips after a few minutes and season with salt again, adding more oil if necessary.
  6. Cook until the fries are crispy on both sides.
  7. Remove from heat and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  8. Serve with your favorite sauces.
