Homemade Artisan Bread

Instructions
- Mix the flour, yeast, and salt in a bowl, then add water and combine until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rise at room temperature for 2-3 hours until it doubles in size.
- For best flavor, refrigerate the dough for at least 12 hours and up to 3 days.
- Dust a baking sheet with flour or cornmeal, turn out the dough, cut in half, and shape into loaves.
- Let the shaped dough rest for 45 minutes while preheating the oven to 475°F (246°C).
- Score the loaves with a sharp knife and optionally add boiling water to a pan in the oven for steam.
- Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
- Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
