Ingredients

  • 1 bunch kale (7-9 ounces with stems)
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil or other neutral oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Rinse the kale leaves under cool running water and dry them using a salad spinner or a clean towel.
  2. Remove the kale stems and tear or cut the leaves into roughly 2-inch pieces.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the kale with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder, or spray the leaves with oil.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 275°F.
  5. Place the kale in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding too much overlap.
  6. Air fry at 275°F for 5 minutes, checking for crispiness. If not crispy enough, cook for an additional minute at a time as needed.
  7. Enjoy immediately or store at room temperature for up to 4 days, recrisping in the air fryer if necessary.
