Instructions
- Thinly slice the red onions and divide them between jars.
- If using, place garlic and peppercorns in each jar.
- Heat vinegar, water, sugar, and salt in a saucepan until dissolved.
- Let the brine cool slightly, then pour it over the onions.
- Allow the jars to cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
