Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the brownie layer by melting butter and semi-sweet chocolate in a saucepan, then let it cool.
- Whisk sugar into the cooled chocolate mixture, then add eggs one at a time, whisking until smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract, then fold in flour and salt until combined.
- For the cookie layer, cream butter and sugars together, then mix in egg and vanilla.
- Add flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt, mixing until combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pan, top with peanut butter cups, and pour brownie batter over.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the center is set and a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before lifting out of the pan and cutting into squares.
