Ingredients

The pizza base

  • 1 12-inch Whole Wheat Thin Pizza Crust

The toppings

  • 3.25 oz uncooked 95% lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons reduced sodium taco seasoning
  • ½ cup chunky salsa
  • 2 tablespoons taco sauce
  • cup canned black beans
  • ¾ cup reduced fat 2% shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 medium black olives, sliced
  • 1 medium scallion, green parts only, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks.
  3. Add taco seasoning to the beef and mix well, then set aside.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the salsa and taco sauce.
  5. Spread the salsa mixture evenly on the pizza crust, leaving a ½ inch edge.
  6. Sprinkle black beans on top of the salsa layer, followed by the taco meat.
  7. Evenly distribute the shredded cheese over the toppings, then add the sliced olives.
  8. Bake the pizza on a baking sheet or pizza stone for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven, slice, and sprinkle with chopped scallions before serving.
