Ingredients

The marinade

  • 4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

The meat

  • 2 pounds meat (chicken, beef, pork)

Instructions

  1. Place the meat in a shallow dish or ziploc bag.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, ginger, onion powder, and pepper.
  3. Pour the marinade over the meat to cover it.
  4. Refrigerate for 8-12 hours (up to two days for best flavor).
  5. Grill the meat, discarding excess marinade, until cooked through.
  6. Let the meat rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
