Easy Baked Ravioli

Ingredients

The meat and sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef, lean
  • 3 cups spaghetti sauce

The pasta and cheese

  • 32 oz frozen jumbo cheese ravioli
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella

The seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Italian parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add ground beef.
  3. Brown the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks.
  4. Add the combined seasonings to the beef and cook until well browned.
  5. Stir in ½ cup of spaghetti sauce to create a meat sauce and remove from heat, draining excess grease.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  7. Spread ¾ cup of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a casserole dish.
  8. Layer frozen ravioli on top of the sauce.
  9. Add a layer of sauce, half of the cooked ground beef, and half of the mozzarella.
  10. Add another layer of ravioli, remaining ground beef, and cover with more sauce.
  11. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes.
  12. Uncover, top with remaining mozzarella and parsley, and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  13. Let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving.
