Ingredients

  • 1 block feta cheese (8 ounces, patted dry and cut into chunks)
  • ½ cup roasted red peppers (roughly chopped)
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • for garnishing crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine feta, roasted red peppers, olive oil, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and black pepper in a food processor.
  2. Process the mixture until smooth but with some small bits of feta remaining.
  3. Taste and adjust the cayenne pepper for spiciness if desired.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle olive oil on top, and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.
