Easy Apple Turnovers

Instructions
- Thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions.
- Melt the butter in a pot, add diced apples, and cook for 6-8 minutes.
- Add brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and salt to the apples and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until softened.
- Remove the apple mixture from heat and let it cool.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry to 10-inch squares and cut each into four squares.
- Whisk together the egg and heavy cream for the egg wash.
- Place 2-3 tablespoons of the apple mixture in the center of each square and brush the edges with egg wash.
- Fold the pastry over to form triangles and crimp the edges with a fork.
- Place the turnovers on the baking sheet, cut slits on top, and brush with remaining egg wash.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and heavy cream to make the glaze and drizzle over warm turnovers before serving.
