The filling

Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13 pan.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine coconut, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- 3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat and pour it over the dry mixture, mixing until crumbly.
- 4. Press the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- 5. In another saucepan, heat sweetened condensed milk, butter, and corn syrup over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes until deep beige.
- 6. Pour the filling over the cooled crust and bake for an additional 12-14 minutes until light golden brown.
- 7. Cool completely or until the filling has set.
- 8. Melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler and pour over the bars, spreading evenly.
