The icing

Instructions
- 1. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl until fluffy.
- 2. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl and stir into the butter mixture.
- 3. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- 4. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- 5. Roll out the dough to ¼-inch thickness and cut into shapes.
- 6. Bake for 4-6 minutes and cool on wire racks.
- 7. For the icing, mix confectioners' sugar with milk, corn syrup, and vanilla until smooth.
- 8. Add food coloring as desired and decorate the cooled cookies.
