Instructions
- Prepare the vegan buttermilk by mixing the nut milk and apple cider vinegar in a bowl and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the sugar, melted coconut oil, and buttermilk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined, leaving some lumps.
- Preheat your waffle maker according to your desired crispiness level.
- Scoop ½ cup of batter into the greased waffle maker and cook until the steam stops completely.
- Keep the cooked waffles warm in an oven until all batter is used.
- Serve with your favorite toppings.
