Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- If desired, toss the pine nuts in olive oil and salt, then spread them in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Toast in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned and fragrant.
- Alternatively, toast the pine nuts in a skillet over medium heat for 2 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- For microwave toasting, rinse the pine nuts, toss with salt, place in a paper bag, and microwave on HIGH for 1 to 1½ minutes.
