Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 3 lbs shrimp, shelled and deveined tail-on

The marinade

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • 1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Soak the bamboo skewers in water.
  2. Rinse the shrimp, pat them dry, and set aside.
  3. Mix together garlic, melted butter, salt, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice in a small bowl, reserving some for grilling.
  4. Combine the shrimp with the garlic butter mixture and thread three shrimp onto each skewer.
  5. Grill the shrimp, brushing with the reserved garlic butter mixture on both sides while cooking.
  6. Serve immediately.
