Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Cut the stem end off the cabbage, then slice into 1-inch thick slices.
- Place the cabbage slices on a parchment-lined sheet pan, prettiest side down.
- Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic, and chili flakes. Sprinkle with lemon zest.
- Roast for about 20 minutes, adding parmesan at 15 minutes if desired, until tender.
- While the cabbage is roasting, prepare the sauce.
- Serve the cabbage steaks over creamy polenta, topped with fresh parsley and sauce.
