Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the onion topping ingredients until the onions are coated.
- Heat oil in a skillet and fry the onion mixture until golden, about 4-5 minutes, then set aside.
- Boil water in a pot, add green beans, and blanch for 3 minutes. Drain and transfer to a bowl.
- In the skillet, add olive oil and sauté onions for 5 minutes, then add garlic and mushrooms, cooking for another 3-4 minutes. Transfer to the bowl with green beans.
- In the skillet, melt butter, then add broth, cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the green bean mixture and stir to combine.
- Transfer to the baking dish, bake for 35 minutes, then top with crispy onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbling.
