Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen fruit
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon freshly-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the fruit in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until it breaks down.
  2. Mash the fruit to your desired consistency.
  3. Stir in the chia seeds and lemon juice, then taste and add sweetener if needed.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool for about 5 minutes to thicken.
  5. Stir again and serve immediately or store in a sealed container in the fridge.
