Instructions
- Dice the bacon and cook it in a dutch oven over medium heat until browned.
- While the bacon cooks, prepare the garlic, onion, and peppers.
- Add the garlic, onion, peppers, and ground beef to the pot, breaking up the beef and cooking until browned.
- Make the chili seasoning by mixing the spices in a small bowl.
- Once the beef is browned, stir in the chili seasoning.
- Add the canned tomatoes, pinto beans, kidney beans, and beef broth to the pot and stir well.
- Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat and cover to simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serve in bowls and add optional toppings as desired.
