Ingredients

The meat mixture

  • ½ lb ground pork
  • ½ lb ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves, chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • ½ – ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

The sweet element

  • ¼ cup dried apricots, finely diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground pork, turkey, minced garlic, chopped spinach, chopped basil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the finely diced apricots to the mixture and mix everything with your hands until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 15 meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 13-15 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.
