Dehydrated Beets
Instructions
- Cut the greens and roots off the beets and scrub them well.
- Par-cook the beets by roasting, pressure cooking, or boiling until tender.
- Drain the beets and pat them dry.
- Slice the beets into ¼ or ⅛-inch slices.
- For dehydrator: Lay the slices on trays and dry at 125°F for about 8-10 hours.
- For oven: Preheat to 125°F or lowest setting, lay slices on a baking sheet, and dry for 10-12 hours.
- Allow the beets to cool completely before storing.
