Ingredients

The meatballs

  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 unit shallot, diced
  • 2 inches fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • cup coconut aminos
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce

The toppings

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1-2 unit green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Dice the shallot and grate the ginger, then combine all ingredients (except toppings) in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly using your hands until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a heaping tablespoon, yielding approximately 25 meatballs.
  5. Place the meatballs on the prepared sheet pan and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and add toppings as desired before serving.
