Chili Cheese Dip

Ingredients

The dip base

  • 8 oz 1/3 less fat cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt

The meat and sauce

  • ¾ lb uncooked 95% lean ground beef
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili seasoning

The cheese

  • 3 oz 50% reduced fat sharp cheddar, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and yogurt until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture in a 9-inch pie plate.
  4. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned.
  5. Add the tomato sauce and chili seasoning to the beef and mix well.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Spread the chili mixture over the cream cheese layer in the pie plate.
  8. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and bake for 20 minutes until melted.
