Instructions
- 1. Combine 12 ounces of blueberries with brown sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- 2. Add just enough water to cover the berries and bring to a simmer, cooking for 5 minutes.
- 3. Puree the sauce using an immersion blender or transfer to a blender or food processor to blend until smooth, adding additional water if necessary.
- 4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer and return it to the pot.
- 5. Stir in the remaining blueberries and cook for another 5 minutes.
