Ingredients

Filling

  • 10 cups peeled sliced Granny Smith apples
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 heaping teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • ½ cup salted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. Place the sliced apples in the prepared pan.
  3. Mix the remaining filling ingredients and sprinkle over the apples, then toss to coat evenly.
  4. For the topping, mix all topping ingredients except for the butter until well combined.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the topping mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Spread the topping evenly over the apple mixture in the pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
